The Toronto Electrical Industry Benefit Administration Services (TEIBAS) founded in 1990, administers the group benefit and pension plans and provides service exclusively to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 353 members. The overall policy direction is provided by the Board of Trustees, comprised of eight members – four appointed by the Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association (GTECA) and four appointed by the IBEW Local 353.
Although TEIBAS is a small organization, the employees bring a great deal of knowledge, experience and dedication to the role as administrator of the IBEW Local 353 Trust Funds. TEIBAS is committed to building its reputation by creating an organization that is independent, well-managed, informative and responsive which will improve communications and service to members and their families, while managing long-term costs and reducing risks to the funds.
