TEIBAS Board of Directors
TEIBAS is governed by an eight seat Board of Directors who are responsible for hiring and overseeing the work of TEIBAS’ CEO, approving TEIBAS’ human resource, strategic, and business plans and related budgets, and monitoring their implementation. The Board of Directors of TEIBAS and the IBEW Local 353 Board of Trustees are distinct and separate legal entities, but they have overlapping board membership.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is an independent group that oversees the IBEW Local 353 Trust Funds and pension and benefit plans. The board has eight members. Four are appointed by the Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association (GTECA), and the other four are appointed by the IBEW Local 353. The Board also has five standing committees that work between meetings to review, consider, and make recommendations on their mandated subject area(s).
The Board of Trustees has the authority to establish and appoint special committees for specific tasks.
