If you are sick or injured while away from home, your travel medical insurance program provides important coverage. Your travel insurance is provided by Beneva. The travel medical emergency insurance and assistance plan covers a wide range of medical emergencies, but it doesn’t cover everything. When it comes to medical insurance it’s better to be safe than sorry — so know what’s covered and what’s not. Make sure you bring your travel card with you when you travel.

Before you receive medical treatment:
• Call Beneva using the numbers shown on your medical assistance card.
• Tell the Beneva representative your group policy number: 1TR55

If you have a travel emergency, you must call one of the below numbers for Beneva immediately before seeking medical treatment:

  • from Canada and the U.S. toll-free at 1-855-369-5444, or
  • from anywhere in the world call collect + 514-285-8186.

Beneva can be contacted 24/7. If it is medically impossible for you to call before receiving emergency treatment, you are expected to have someone call on your behalf as soon as possible.
